Couples & Families
Two different families and a mother-daughter dyad engage in equine-assisted family therapy. The hands-on experiential nature of this assessment and treatment model allows the counselor or therapist to quickly and accurately evaluate the family dynamics. After reflecting upon and processing their experiences in a debriefing session consistent with Kolb's Experiential Learning Cycle, they then will be asked to engage in the same exercise a second time, attempting to incorporate any relational or individual behavior modifications deemed worthy of experimentation as discussed in the debriefing session.
